Anti-Corrosion Coating

This special "Silver chromium" anti-corrosion coating consists of chromium with a purity of more than 98%. It is an extremely hard, crack-free, nodular, precise,  ultrathin and highly pure chromium coating that may be engineered by a high-energy process to all metals, including, with certain restrictions, aluminum, but not to magnesium and titanium. Due to the low process temperature of less than 80°C, the structure of the base material is not changed. This fundamental advantage of this method ensures a stable form and hardness. The coating generally has the look of satinated platinum. The surface can be polished to become glossy as needed.

Features:

  • Crack-ree, high elasticity
  • Protects against cold welding, corrosion and wear
  • Slight improvement
  • Easier removal from molds, especially for plastic and rubber molds
  • To substitute expensive special materials

Colour

silver-satin matte

Surface micro-modular finish, (possibility of polishing)

Processing temperature

< 80 °C

Deposit range

2-12 µm

Tolerance levels

± 1-2 µm, dependent to material, surface quality and geometry of the coated parts

Surface hardness

75-78 HRc (1200-1300HV)
